As the Benue South prepares for the 2027 Senatorial election, it is imperative to address the historical marginalization of the Apa/Agatu and Oju/Obi zones. These regions have long been overlooked in the distribution of political powers and resources, leading to a sense of disenfranchisement among their constituents.
Apa/Agatu political bloc is worst compared to the Oju/Obi Igede political bloc that have done Deputy Governor of Benue State for eight years and did the longest serving Och’Idoma. The Apa/Agatu are just enjoying the stool of Och’Idoma which the Igede Nation did years back.

Despite their significant contributions to the socio-economic fabric of Benue State, both Apa/Agatu and Oju/Obi have not received adequate representation at both the federal and state levels. The time has come for a shift in focus, advocating for candidates from these marginalized zones to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs addressed also. The Apa/Agatu should be supported for Senate in 2027 so that after eight years, the Igede of Oju/Obi can take over in the spirit of eat and give your brothers.

Choosing representatives from Apa/Agatu or Oju/Obi for the Senate would not only promote justice and fairness but also foster a more inclusive political environment. It is essential for the electorate to rally behind candidates who genuinely understand the challenges faced by these communities and are committed to advocating for their interests.

In 2027, let us prioritize equity and representation by supporting candidates from Apa/Agatu or Oju/Obi, paving the way for a brighter future for all of Benue South.
