Veteran Nollywood actor Pa James has commended Wale Adenuga and his production company for maintaining a consistent payment culture throughout his time on the popular TV series Papa Ajasco.

Speaking during an interview with Udu, the actor dismissed concerns about unpaid earnings, stating that he still works with the production outfit whenever called upon. According to him, his initial involvement in the Papa Ajasco project was expected to last only a few weeks, but it eventually extended over a long period.

Pa James emphasised that the production team never owed him, noting that payments were made promptly for every job completed. He added that even brief meetings with the producer were often compensated, reflecting what he described as a culture of fairness and respect.

Reflecting on his journey, the actor expressed gratitude for being part of the long-running series, particularly during its 25th anniversary celebration, which he described as a proud moment in his career.

When asked about his biggest achievement from the show, Pa James said the financial rewards were significant, revealing that his earnings from the series enabled him to purchase a car.

His remarks come amid recent claims suggesting he is facing financial challenges despite past earnings from the show. However, the production company has since refuted those claims, issuing a statement to counter the narrative.
