Passenger Demands Immediate Rebooking After XEJet Cancels Abuja–Lagos Flight
A passenger has formally demanded immediate rebooking from XEJet following the cancellation of flight 4U2220 from Abuja to Lagos scheduled for Sunday, December 14, 2025.
According to the complaint sent to the airline’s customer service, the passenger was initially booked on a 2:45 p.m. flight but was informed via email on December 10 that the departure time had been moved forward to 11:00 a.m. In response, the passenger arrived at the airport before 9:00 a.m. to comply with the revised schedule.
Despite this, the flight reportedly suffered multiple delays throughout the day, causing what the passenger described as significant personal and professional disruption. The situation worsened in the evening when the flight was officially confirmed as cancelled at about 9:37 p.m., leaving the passenger stranded at the boarding gate late into the night.
In the email, the passenger described the experience as unacceptable and inconsistent with XEJet’s stated mission to redefine air travel standards.
The passenger has requested guaranteed placement on the first available XEJet flight from Abuja to Lagos on Monday, December 15, 2025. They also demanded immediate confirmation of the new flight details, including the flight number and departure time, to be sent via email and text message.
The complaint urged the airline to treat the matter as an urgent priority and provide rebooking confirmation before the end of the night.
