Pastor Blessed Celebrates Mercy Chinwo’s 200M Spotify Streams, Credits Success to God’s Timing

Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, husband of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, has celebrated her latest career milestone after she surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify.

In an Instagram post, the pastor reflected on Mercy’s journey, noting that her decision to remain obedient to God’s will has been the foundation of her success.

He recalled that after winning Nigerian Idol in 2012, Mercy had opportunities to venture into secular music but instead chose to wait on God’s timing — a choice that required four years of patience.

“Her story proves that God’s will always prevails,” he wrote, adding that the achievement is a reward for her faith and obedience.

Quoting scriptures, Uzochikwa encouraged fans to remain steadfast in their own journeys, reminding them that what may appear as a delay is never wasted when one chooses God.

Mercy Chinwo recently released a new album titled In His Will, which her husband described as a reflection of her testimony and walk with God.
