Plateau Govt Pledges Partnership with Defence Holdings on Farms Project in Wase

The Plateau State Government has assured Defence Holdings Company Limited (DHCL) of its readiness to partner on the establishment of Defence Farms and Agro-Allied Products in Wase Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang gave the assurance on Tuesday while receiving the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DHCL, Air Vice Marshal Anthony Victor Ndace, and his delegation at the Government House in Jos.

Speaking through the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Samuel Jatau, the governor commended the vision of DHCL, particularly its intervention in the agricultural sector, and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to the immediate handover of 30,000 hectares of land already allocated for the project in Wase.

Earlier, Air Vice Marshal Ndace said he was in the state on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff to appreciate the government for allocating land for the take-off of the Defence Farms and Agro-Allied Products initiative. He thanked the Plateau State Government for the warm reception and prayed for sustained peace and development in the state.
