Popular Nigerian TikTok content creator, Peller, who was abducted during a live broadcast on Wednesday, has reportedly been rescued by the Nigeria Police Force.
The news of his rescue was confirmed on Thursday morning by his close associate, Sandra Benede, during a live video. According to her, police officials, including a Divisional Police Officer (DPO), have located Peller, although official details of the rescue remain undisclosed.
“They have seen him. The Police DPO has seen him o. They haven’t given full details yet, but he has been found. Chudi said they’ve seen him,” Benede said in the update.
Peller was livestreaming while heading home when he was suddenly abducted by unidentified gunmen. Viral video clips captured the moment he appeared to mistake the assailants for police officers before being forcibly taken, with audible screams heard in the background.
Shortly after the incident, fellow content creator Tekunbi and other associates rushed to the scene, only to discover Peller’s vehicle and phone left behind.
As of the time this report was filed, neither Peller nor the Nigerian Police has issued an official statement regarding the circumstances of the abduction or the rescue operation.
The incident has sparked widespread concern across social media platforms, with fans and fellow creators calling for greater security measures for public figures and influencers.
