Portable Electrifies Audience at Abuja International Carnival Finale

Popular Nigerian singer Habeeb Badmus, widely known as Portable, delivered a vibrant performance at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival on Monday night.

The event, held at Eagles Square, captivated participants including state delegates, government officials, and music enthusiasts from across the country. Portable, famed for his hit single ZaZoo Zehh, energized the crowd with electrifying renditions of his popular tracks.

The carnival, themed “Carnival of Renewed Hope: A Pledge to My Country,” took place from Nov. 23 to 25, showcasing diverse cultural displays and activities. Highlights included floats, street shows, musical concerts, a traditional food competition, a boat regatta, a Durbar, children’s festivities, and art exhibitions, spread across various venues in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The grand finale was a dazzling affair marked by colorful indigenous fashion shows, parades, and the announcement of competition winners. Rivers State clinched the title of ‘Overall Best State.’

The evening’s entertainment began with performances by emerging artists, setting the stage for Portable’s much-anticipated appearance. The Brotherhood crooner was met with roaring applause as he performed fan favorites like Pay Me My Money, Ema Joke Dada, and Clear, leaving the audience cheering and dancing late into the night.

The 2024 Abuja International Carnival successfully celebrated Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, ending on a high note with Portable’s unforgettable performance.
