Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Prime Boy and a close friend of the late singer Mohbad, has filed a defamation lawsuit against Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Adeyemo.
Prime Boy announced the legal action on his Instagram page, sharing a document filed at the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja. He accused Abosede of making libelous and malicious statements about him in a video interview on March 28, 2024.
According to the lawsuit dated February 12, 2025, Abosede’s comments were widely circulated by various media outlets and allegedly tarnished Prime Boy’s reputation in society.
Prime Boy is seeking N50 million in damages, citing libel, falsehood, and malicious intent in Abosede’s remarks. The lawsuit claims the statements were designed to harm his image in the eyes of the public.
The case adds to the ongoing controversies surrounding Mohbad’s passing, as legal battles and public accusations continue to emerge.
