A man identified as Abdulrasheed Usman has died after collapsing while breaking his Ramadan fast in Kutunku, Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
A witness, Suleiman Bala, said the incident occurred on Saturday, March 1, 2025, while Usman was having iftar with three friends.
According to Bala, Usman and his friends were seated on a bench eating fruits when he suddenly slumped. His friends quickly rushed him to a nearby hospital on a motorcycle, but the doctor on duty confirmed him dead.
“The deceased was in good health and had just returned from Kaduna around 5:47 p.m. He went to join his friends for iftar when he suddenly collapsed,” Bala said.
Usman’s remains have since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
