Real Madrid’s Camavinga Out for Season Start Due to Knee Injury
Real Madrid’s French midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga, will miss the beginning of the LaLiga season after sustaining a knee injury during training for the Super Cup, the club announced on Wednesday.
In an official statement, the club revealed that the 21-year-old has been diagnosed with a sprain of the internal collateral ligament in his left knee. The injury occurred during a training session on Tuesday at Warsaw’s National Stadium, where Real Madrid was preparing for their Super Cup match against Atalanta.
Camavinga, who played in four matches for France at Euro 2024, is expected to be sidelined for up to seven weeks. Real Madrid’s LaLiga title defense is set to kick off this Sunday against Mallorca.
