Regina Daniels’ brother arrested during live video in Lagos

Sammy Daniels, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has reportedly been arrested by the police during a live video broadcast in Lagos.

Naija News reported that the incident occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge, where Sammy was said to be with a friend when security operatives approached them. Viewers watching the live session reportedly saw the moment unfold before the video stream was abruptly cut off.

As of the time of filing this report, the circumstances surrounding the arrest remain unclear, with no official statement from the police. Regina Daniels has also not issued a formal response on the matter.

The reported arrest comes amid a public dispute within the Daniels family. During an Instagram live session, Regina Daniels alleged that her husband, billionaire businessman and politician, Senator Ned Nwoko, was responsible for the police action.

She also denied claims that her family stole $40,000 from Nwoko, insisting that he does not keep large sums of cash at home.

Meanwhile, Senator Nwoko has released records and messages in response to allegations made by his wife. His media team said the materials include a WhatsApp message dated October 17, medical and therapy records, as well as statements from staff members.

The senator’s team dismissed allegations of domestic abuse, describing them as an attempt to divert attention from long-standing health and behavioural concerns. They added that independent toxicology reports allegedly indicated the misuse of multiple substances, which they said had been raised privately months before the matter became public.
