The Rivers State Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), has approved the appointment of Sole Administrators for all 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Port Harcourt by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibibia Worika.
Ibas also announced the reconstitution of boards of various agencies, commissions, and parastatals earlier suspended.
According to the statement, the newly appointed Sole Administrators include Mr. Okroiyobi Animete for Abua/Odual; Goodluck Iheancho, Ahoada East; Promise Jacob, Ahoada West; Tamunotonye Peters, Akuku Toru; and Atajit Frances for Andoni.
Others are Ibiaquve Charles, Asari-Toru; Kingsley Banogo, Bonny; Sokari Francis, Degema; Gloria Obo-Dibiah, Eleme; Franklin Ajinwon, Emohua; Onyenachi Nwankwor, Etche; Gospel Kpee, Gokana; and Isaiah Nobuawu, Ikwerre.
Additional appointees include Baridum Nwibere for Khana; Clifford Walter, Obio/Akpor; Chukwuma Aje, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni; and Eliel Owubokir for Ogu/Bolo.
Mr. Thompson Isodike was appointed for Okrika; Manager Wala, Omuma; Fred Apiafi, Opobo/Nkoro; Eletuoo Ihenacho, Oyigbo; Sam Kalagbor, Port Harcourt; and Nuka Gbopah for Tai LGA.
In a related development, Ibas approved the appointment of Mr. Michael Odey as Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).
Other members of the commission include Mr. Lazarus Torbira, Arthur Nwafor, Godfrey Mbgudiogha, Joyce Akaninwor, Olive Brue, and Chidi Halliday.
