Rooney Warns Amorim: No Excuses Left for Struggling Manchester United

Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has warned current manager Ruben Amorim that he has no excuses for failing to deliver results this season.

United’s 1-1 draw at Fulham on Sunday extended their winless run in the Premier League, leaving fans frustrated after a summer of heavy spending.

The club invested over £200 million to strengthen their attack with Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo, raising expectations following last season’s disappointing 15th-place finish.

Rooney, reacting to a home defeat to Arsenal and the draw at Craven Cottage, said Amorim must turn things around quickly.

“There’s no excuses now for the manager this season. He’s got to start getting results and getting them quickly,” Rooney said on his BBC podcast.

“Once you start getting into October or November, if results don’t change drastically that’s when the pressure comes.”
