Russian Drone Strike Hits Ukraine Bus, Kills 15 Miners
At least 15 miners have been killed and seven others injured after a Russian drone strike hit a bus transporting workers home from a shift near Pavlohrad in eastern Ukraine.
The victims were returning from a mine when the drone targeted the bus, according to local reports. Additional drones were also said to have struck parts of the mine complex, worsening the impact of the attack.
DTEK, the energy company that owns the facility, condemned the incident, describing it as a “large-scale terror attack” by Russian forces. The company said the strike marked a “black day” for the entire region.
Authorities have launched emergency response efforts, while investigations continue to assess the full extent of the damage and casualties. The incident adds to growing concerns over the targeting of civilian infrastructure amid the ongoing conflict.
