The Rwandan gospel music community is in mourning following the death of popular singer Gloriose Musabyimana, widely known as Gogo Gloriose.
The 36-year-old singer reportedly passed away on Wednesday, September 3, in Kampala, with confirmation of her death coming a day later, on Thursday, September 4, from her media manager, Bikem wa Yesu.
News of Gogo’s passing has spread beyond Rwanda, sparking a wave of grief across Nigerian social media. Many fans remembered her not just for her powerful gospel songs but also for her joyful presence on TikTok, where she often posted funny and uplifting videos.
“She made us laugh, inspired us, and reminded us of God’s love even in hard times,” one Nigerian fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
