The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has unveiled the six-man shortlist for the 2025 Players’ Player of the Year award, spotlighting some of the Premier League’s top performers from the 2024–25 season.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah headlines the nominees following a stellar campaign in which he scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists, helping the Reds clinch the Premier League title. The Egyptian star is the frontrunner for the award and could make history by becoming the first player to win it three times, having previously claimed the honor in 2018 and 2022.

Joining Salah on the shortlist are Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister, both recognized for their influential roles throughout the season.

Arsenal’s midfield anchor Declan Rice, Chelsea’s breakout star Cole Palmer, and Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak complete the list of nominees, each earning praise for their standout contributions.

The winner of the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award will be announced in the coming weeks.
