Saudi Crown Prince Urges Dialogue in Call with Iranian President, Condemns Israeli Strikes
Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has reiterated the Kingdom’s firm rejection of using force to resolve disputes, emphasizing dialogue as the only viable path to peace and stability in the region.
The Crown Prince made the remarks during a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday. He expressed concern that recent Israeli attacks have derailed ongoing diplomatic efforts and disrupted dialogue aimed at easing tensions and resolving the broader regional crisis.
Prince Mohammed strongly condemned the strikes, describing them as a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and international law. “These attacks undermine security and obstruct all efforts toward de-escalation and diplomacy,” he said, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s commitment to peaceful conflict resolution.
Iranian President Pezeshkian, in response, denounced the Israeli strikes as proof of what he called the Israeli entity’s “aggressive nature.” He said that since taking office, his administration has sought to promote peace and regional stability, but Israeli actions have repeatedly thwarted those efforts.
Both leaders expressed a shared interest in reducing tensions and preventing further escalation in the region, amid growing concern over the impact of continued violence on regional security and diplomatic progress.
