Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has cautioned Mrs. Unoma Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, to refrain from interfering in the sexual harassment and intimidation allegations she has leveled against her husband.

In a televised interview on February 28, Akpoti-Uduaghan alleged that Akpabio had persistently maligned her after she rejected his advances. In response, Mrs. Akpabio dismissed the accusations, describing her husband as disciplined and responsible, and later initiated legal action against the senator.

Addressing the lawsuit in a letter dated March 1, 2025, through her lawyer, Victor Giwa, Akpoti-Uduaghan urged Mrs. Akpabio to allow her husband to defend himself. The letter, titled “Stay Away from Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Sexual Harassment and Intimidation Allegations Against Sen. President Godswill Akpabio; To Safeguard Your Sanity and That of Your Family,” emphasized that the matter strictly concerned the Senate President.

“Our client is not interested in involving you in this unfortunate saga. She has endured harassment from the Senate President for too long and has now decided to speak out against the victimization she faces in the red chambers,” the letter read.

Akpoti-Uduaghan further stated that she possesses concrete evidence to support her claims, urging Mrs. Akpabio to let her husband address the allegations independently.
