Shakira has come under fire from fans who accuse her of copying Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour for her own Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour. The controversy erupted after images from Shakira’s first stop in Rio de Janeiro surfaced online, showing striking resemblances between the two performances.

Critics pointed out similarities in stage design, visual elements, and wardrobe choices. One notable comparison was Shakira’s use of a massive screen displaying her image and tour title—similar to Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE screen. Additionally, Shakira’s stage featured a giant metallic wolf, drawing parallels to the silver horse Beyoncé showcased during her 2023 tour. Fans also noted that Shakira’s dancers wore silver outfits, much like Beyoncé’s performers and audience members.

Social media reactions were mixed. Some fans accused Shakira of outright plagiarism, with one user tweeting, “Shakira said they were studying Beyoncé, but they actually ripped everything that wasn’t nailed to the floor.” Others suggested legal action, while some defended the Colombian star, arguing that she was merely inspired by Beyoncé’s tour.

Shakira had previously admitted in an interview that she attended Beyoncé’s Renaissance show in Tampa, Florida, and took notes. Despite the backlash, both artists have shared a friendly relationship over the years, having collaborated on the 2006 hit Beautiful Liar.
