Super Eagles Striker Umar Sadiq Set for Valencia Loan Move Pending Medical

0 1

Super Eagles forward Umar Sadiq is poised to join Valencia CF on loan from Real Sociedad, pending a medical examination scheduled for today.

Renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal includes an option for Valencia to purchase the Nigerian international outright at the season’s end.

Valencia, six-time champions of La Liga, currently sit 19th in the league standings, grappling with offensive challenges that have yielded only 16 goals in 17 matches.

Their leading scorer, Hugo Duro, has netted four goals this season. The club is optimistic that Sadiq’s arrival will bolster their attacking capabilities as they strive to evade relegation.

This season, the 27-year-old Sadiq has found limited opportunities at Real Sociedad under head coach Imanol Alguacil, prompting his search for more consistent playing time.

His agent had explored potential moves to Sevilla, Getafe, and Valencia, with the latter now set to be his next destination. Sadiq aims to rejuvenate his scoring form with the Basque-based side.
