Suspected Yahoo Boy Kills Four in Delta Crash

Tragedy struck in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State on Tuesday after a suspected internet fraudster, popularly known as a “yahoo-yahoo” boy, reportedly caused a fatal accident, killing four people and injuring a young boy.

The incident occurred along the Oteri-Ovwor Road, where the suspect, said to be driving a Mercedes Benz GLK at high speed, allegedly rammed into a commercial motorcycle carrying three passengers. The force of the impact also hit a schoolboy walking home.

The motorcycle rider and the three passengers died on the spot. The young boy was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Eyewitnesses told Daily Post that the suspect fled the scene immediately after the crash, abandoning his vehicle.

As of the time of filing this report, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, had not responded to calls, texts, or WhatsApp messages seeking confirmation of the incident.
