Suspected Yam Thief Arrested at Zaki-Biam Market in Benue

A suspected yam thief has been apprehended at the popular Zaki-Biam Yam Market in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.

The incident occurred on Saturday, December 27, when the suspect, identified as Imoter Daniel, was allegedly caught in the act by a local resident, Shagbaor Shagari Chaverkpwr, who raised an alarm at the market.

Eyewitnesses said the alert drew the attention of security operatives, who promptly arrived at the scene and took the suspect into custody.

Authorities have commenced investigations into the incident, while the suspect remains in detention pending further action.
