In another daring operation on October 25, 2024, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) launched airstrikes that obliterated scores of Boko Haram terrorists at two key locations in Bula Marwa, Borno State. The area had been identified as a high-level meeting site for top Boko Haram figures, with Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions confirming heightened terrorist activity.
NAF fighter jets were dispatched to the location after ISR footage captured suspected terrorists assembling on 12 motorcycles, which led to a primary meeting point where additional terrorists were waiting. The first airstrike effectively engaged the target area, and follow-up strikes neutralized more terrorists returning to assess damage and evacuate wounded combatants.
Building on this success, additional ISR identified another terrorist gathering under a large tree at a second meeting site. A precision airstrike achieved a direct hit, neutralizing numerous terrorists. These air operations significantly crippled planned terrorist activities, taking out multiple fighters and demolishing motorcycles, thereby limiting their ability to launch ambushes.
The Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI continues to play a crucial role in ridding northeastern Nigeria of terrorist activities. The NAF remains committed to executing its mission with relentless precision to bring an end to terrorism and other threats to national sovereignty and security.
