President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Saturday depart Abuja on a three-state visit to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos States, with the President expected to spend the end-of-year holidays in Lagos.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, the President will begin his tour in Borno State, where he is scheduled to commission several projects executed by the Borno State Government under Governor Babagana Zulum, in collaboration with the Federal Government.

While in Maiduguri, President Tinubu will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

The President will thereafter proceed to Bauchi State to condole with the Bauchi State Government and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, a renowned Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27.

Following the condolence visit, President Tinubu will travel to Lagos State, where he will spend the forthcoming end-of-year holidays.

During his stay in Lagos, the President is expected to participate in several official and cultural engagements, including serving as the Guest of Honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27.

The festival, which will take place at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, will honour notable personalities, including President Tinubu’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.

President Tinubu’s visit underscores his continued engagement with state governments, cultural institutions and key national stakeholders as the year draws to a close.
