Tinubu Meets Goodluck Jonathan After Return From Guinea-Bissau Amid Political Turmoil
President Bola Tinubu on Saturday received former President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, following Jonathan’s return from Guinea-Bissau where a failed coup attempt sparked widespread concern.
Jonathan, who was in Guinea-Bissau on an election monitoring mission, became the subject of public anxiety after soldiers attempted to seize power, creating tension across the capital.
He was evacuated from the country on Friday, November 28, and returned to Nigeria safely.
On Saturday, Jonathan visited Aso Rock to brief President Tinubu on the political developments in Guinea-Bissau and his role in the monitoring exercise.
