Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI have intensified their offensive against Boko Haram, arresting key collaborators, neutralising insurgents and dismantling parts of the group’s logistics network in Adamawa and Borno states.

Military authorities said the operations, carried out in coordination with local vigilantes and hunters, targeted suspected suppliers and fighters supporting insurgent activities in the region.

In Adamawa State, troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade arrested a 28-year-old suspect, Ismail Muhammed, in the Visik General area of Hong Local Government Area. According to the military, Muhammed is believed to be a logistics supplier for the terrorists. Items recovered from him include an AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military accoutrements and assorted foodstuffs. He is currently in custody and undergoing further investigation.

In a separate ambush operation around the Visik River line in Madagali Local Government Area, troops neutralised a terrorist commander identified as Abdullahi Mafa. An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered from the scene.

Acting on follow-up intelligence, troops also arrested 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula at Madagali Motor Park. The military described him as a terrorist collaborator and drone supplier who allegedly provided drones later weaponised and used against troops. Recovered from him were two aerial drones, related accessories and 20 solar power banks.

Meanwhile, in Borno State, troops of Operation HADIN KAI working alongside local vigilantes and the Civilian Joint Task Force repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu. During the engagement, a suspected terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions was neutralised, and additional logistics items were recovered.

Military authorities said the series of operations forms part of sustained efforts to disrupt Boko Haram supply chains, restore security and protect communities across the North-East. The Military High Command commended the troops for their “sacrifices and dedication,” urging them to maintain the current operational momentum in the counter-terrorism campaign.
