Troops Rescue NDLEA Deputy Commander, Five Others from Taraba Kidnappers
Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully rescued the Deputy Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and five other individuals from kidnappers in Taraba State.
The victims were reportedly abducted while traveling along the Nguroje–Takka road in the Takum Local Government Area of the state. Army operatives, acting on credible intelligence, launched a swift operation that led to the interception of the kidnappers’ hideout and the safe recovery of the hostages.
Military sources confirmed that the rescue was carried out without any casualties. The freed individuals, including the senior NDLEA official, have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for medical evaluation and debriefing.
The Nigerian Army reiterated its commitment to combating insecurity and maintaining peace in the region. Authorities are continuing efforts to apprehend the fleeing kidnappers.
