U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed that an agreement was recently signed with China, though he offered no specifics on the nature of the deal.

“We just signed with China yesterday,” Trump said Thursday during a White House event, while discussing his administration’s ongoing trade negotiations with other countries.

The president also hinted at the possibility of a “very big” agreement with India in the near future.

The remarks come amid ongoing efforts to ease tensions from a trade war between the U.S. and China, which began in February. The conflict has seen both nations impose rounds of retaliatory tariffs that unsettled global markets.

In April, Trump escalated the standoff by raising tariffs on Chinese imports to as high as 145 percent. However, recent weeks have shown signs of thawing.

Earlier this month, Trump announced that both sides had agreed in principle to relax export restrictions on rare earth materials, and hinted at progress in resolving tariff disputes.

As of Friday, Chinese officials had yet to confirm or comment on the newly reported agreement.
