Former U.S. President Donald Trump stirred controversy once again by taking a swipe at pop star Taylor Swift during a White House celebration honoring the Philadelphia Eagles for their Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

While congratulating the Eagles for their 40–22 win, Trump used the moment to mock Swift, who has been publicly supportive of the Chiefs and is in a relationship with tight end Travis Kelce.

Recalling the championship game, Trump said, “It was an incredible game. A little surprising, but right from the beginning of the first quarter of the big game, which I was there, I watched in person. I was there along with Taylor Swift—how did that work out?” His remark drew attention as yet another public dig at the Grammy-winning singer.

Trump has previously criticized Swift on his Truth Social platform. After she was reportedly booed during the Super Bowl, he posted, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Back in September 2024, following Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris for president, Trump bluntly posted, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

Despite the dig, the Eagles’ visit went ahead as planned. Trump praised the controversial “Tush Push” play—a strategy employed by the Eagles that has sparked debate in the NFL.

However, some key figures were noticeably absent. Quarterback Jalen Hurts missed the event due to scheduling conflicts, and Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, known for a previous White House mishap, was also not in attendance.
