Turkish Airlines Cancels Gulf Flights Amid Rising US-Iran Tensions
Turkish Airlines has suspended flights to several Gulf destinations following a sharp escalation in regional tensions after Iran launched missile attacks on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
In an update posted Monday on its official social media platforms, Türkiye’s national carrier announced the cancellation of all June 23 flights to Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat.
“Dear Passengers, our flights to Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Muscat scheduled for June 23, 2025 have been canceled,” the airline stated, urging travelers to check its website for further updates.
The flight cancellations come in the wake of a significant military confrontation, with Iran retaliating against U.S. strikes on three of its nuclear sites by launching missiles at the strategically important Al Udeid base, which hosts U.S. and allied forces.
The incident marks one of the most severe escalations in U.S.-Iran tensions in recent years, raising regional security concerns and prompting travel disruptions across the Middle East.
