The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to the Law programme of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), marking a significant academic milestone for the institution.

Ani stated that in the letter, the Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu, confirmed that the approval followed the outcome of the Commission’s accreditation exercise conducted in October/November 2024.
Aside from Law, Ani disclosed that other academic programmes at ESUT also received full accreditation. These include Master of Science in Business Management, Education Computer Science, Education Physics, and Agricultural Engineering.
He added that Quantity Surveying, Urban and Regional Planning, and Applied Microbiology were equally accredited.
Citing the letter, Ani noted that Section 10 (1) of the Education National Minimum Standard and Establishment of Institutions Act, CAP E3, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, empowers the NUC to lay down minimum academic standards for all programmes offered in Nigerian universities.
He further explained that the same section authorizes the NUC to accredit such programmes in accordance with the prescribed standards.
