A statue of the Virgin Mary was reportedly seen shedding tears just two days before the Pope’s death, sparking claims of a miracle.

The emotional scene was captured during a Good Friday service on April 18 at St John Eudes Parish in Aguas Claras, located in Colombia’s Norte de Santander region. Witnesses said the statue appeared to have tears streaming down its face during the Sermon of the Seven Words, which reflects on the final sayings of Jesus Christ during his crucifixion.

Footage of the statue quickly went viral on social media, where users expressed awe and reverence. “It’s a miracle, how beautiful,” one person commented, while another remarked, “She’s really crying.”

Some viewers interpreted the moment as a divine sign. “It’s a sign that God doesn’t like human evil, and that’s why our mother cries in silence,” one user speculated.

As of now, the Diocese of Ocana, which oversees the region, has not issued an official response regarding the incident.
