WAFAI LAUDS PRESIDENT TINUBU FOR RESCUING 38 KWARA WORSHIPPERS, KEBBI & NIGER STUDENTS; CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE NATIONAL SECURITY ACTION
The Women and Family Advancement Initiative (WAFAI), an NGO dedicated to family values, societal m inorals, policy implementation, and advocacy, praised His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his steadfast resilience and commitment in securing the release of 38 recently abducted church worshippers in Kwara State and some students from Saint Mary’s Private Secondary School, Papiri, Niger State.
Founder & CEO Dr. Uche Francisca Obi stated in a press release issued today at WAFAI’s Abuja headquarters:
“While we celebrate these monumental rescues, more decisive action is imperative to curb the escalating insecurity that threatens Nigerian families. The President’s efforts are commendable—especially the news that all 25 girls abducted from a school in Kebbi have been freed. Yet we remain deeply troubled by the silence around other kidnapped students still unaccounted for. As a family‑oriented leader, I share the anguish of those families still waiting for their loved ones.”
She continued, “We urgently demand that the government expedite the safe return of these students to their parents.”
Dr. Obi further emphasized, “Prioritizing robust security measures now will dismantle narratives of foreign interference. Nigeria is a sovereign nation fully capable of handling its internal challenges. With genuine willpower and the right governmental perspective, we can defeat insurgency, restoring hope, stability, and self‑sufficiency to all Nigerian families.”
