Wizkid Celebrates 14-Year-Old Son Boluwatife as His Debut EP Tops Apple Music Nigeria

Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Wizkid has celebrated his 14-year-old son, Boluwatife Balogun, after the teenager’s debut extended play (EP), Champion Arrival, soared to No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Albums chart just hours after its release.

The five-track project, released on November 11, has gained widespread attention, charting in 16 countries and reaching No. 71 on the UK Apple Music Top Albums list—making Boluwatife the youngest African artist to top Nigeria’s album chart.

Ahead of the release, Boluwatife, who is managed by his mother Sola Ogudu, shared behind-the-scenes clips from the studio, giving fans a glimpse into his creative process.

Reacting to his son’s milestone, Wizkid expressed immense pride during a courtside interview at a New York Knicks game, saying:

“We love it, man. He’s my kid, you know.”

The Essence crooner’s proud reaction has stirred excitement across social media, with fans and celebrities alike applauding the young talent’s early success.
