Xi Jinping to Deliver Keynote at 2024 FOCAC Summit in Beijing
Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit, scheduled to take place in Beijing from September 4 to 6.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by Hua Chunying, spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry.
During the summit, Xi is expected to deliver a keynote address, highlighting China’s commitment to strengthening ties with Africa. In addition, President Xi will host a welcoming banquet and oversee several bilateral meetings with leaders from FOCAC member nations, as well as representatives from African regional and international organizations invited to the event.
The FOCAC summit will serve as a platform for discussing cooperation on economic, political, and social issues between China and Africa.
