Yobe actor Nata’ala dies after battle with cancer despite public support

Popular Yobe actor, Nata’ala, has passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer, despite support from the public and government officials.

In August 2025, Nata’ala had publicly expressed gratitude to Yobe State Governor, Alhaji Dr. Mai Mala Buni, who donated ₦2 million to assist with his medical treatment. He also thanked other politicians from the state who contributed to his care.

During the same period, Nata’ala revealed details of his illness, saying, “It’s cancer that I’m suffering from. Last year, I had surgery at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital, but unfortunately, the cancer wasn’t completely removed. Later, my stomach began to swell again.”

Sadly, despite the efforts of well-wishers and medical interventions, Nata’ala succumbed to the illness. His death has left fans and colleagues in the Yobe entertainment industry mourning his loss.
