Young Girl, Man Killed as SUV Rams Into Manila Airport Entrance

Two people, including a young girl, were killed after a vehicle crashed into an entrance at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila on Sunday, May 4, 2025, authorities confirmed.

The Philippine Red Cross reported that the girl was four years old, though Transport Minister Vivencio Hizon stated she was five. The second victim was identified as an adult male.

Three others were injured in the crash and are currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital, according to Hizon.

The black SUV involved in the incident rammed into a wall near one of the airport entrances. The driver of the vehicle has been taken into police custody, airport operator New NAIA Infra Co. said in a statement.

Dozens of emergency personnel responded to the scene, and the vehicle was later removed as authorities launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.

The airport operator added that it is working closely with law enforcement to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
