A young, light-skinned woman tragically lost her life after using a public restroom at Igbudu Market in Warri on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. According to sources, the unidentified woman slumped shortly after using the restroom, allegedly during a request for payment for the facility.
Eyewitnesses reported that she was immediately rushed to Warri Central Hospital for urgent medical attention. However, doctors at the hospital pronounced her dead on arrival. Following the incident, her body was returned to the area where she collapsed.
The operators of the commercial restroom informed local authorities, and the Delta State Police Command has since transferred the woman’s body to the Warri Central Hospital morgue. Efforts to reach Delta State Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe for comment were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
High Chief Julius Tobore Edafiadjebre JP, chairman of a local community near Igbudu Market, confirmed the incident, describing it as a tragedy that has left the community in shock.
