Nigerian actor Lincoln “Linc” Edochie, elder brother to controversial actor Yul Edochie, has sparked conversations online following reports of his private marriage to a new wife.

According to Linda Ikeji’s Blog, Linc quietly tied the knot with Yinka Theisen in May 2025. Yinka, who resides in the United States, is said to have grown children, with her youngest having recently graduated from high school.

The couple’s romance reportedly began as a friendship before evolving into a relationship. Yinka made their relationship public in May via social media, praising Linc and hinting at challenges they faced, including what she described as “cross fire” from a “woman scorned,” though she did not elaborate.

Linc was previously married to Amaka Paula Lincoln-Edochie, and details about their past marriage resurfaced online as the new wedding gained attention.

The actor, son of veteran Nollywood icon Pete Edochie, has generally kept a low profile compared to his younger brother, Yul, whose personal life has repeatedly made headlines. Tension between the siblings was evident earlier this year when Linc advised Yul to keep his marriage private. Yul responded by mocking Linc, claiming even a private marriage couldn’t save him from divorce.

Reactions to Linc’s remarriage have poured in across social media, with many Nigerians applauding him for handling his affairs with maturity.

Instagram user @biggest__sheila_ commented, “He was officially single and legally divorced. Yet not once did he ever come out to mock his ex-wife or say anything bad about her. Don’t you dare compare him to you-know-who.”

Another user, @sbn_michael, wrote, “Congrats to him ❤️. He was a single man. At least he’s divorced before remarrying. Unlike his brother.”

As images of his former wife trend online, Linc’s respectful approach to his remarriage appears to be winning him quiet praise, contrasting with the more turbulent public image of his younger brother.
