Model secures top regional crown at global pageant in Egypt.

Zimbabwean model Amanda Peresu-Moyo has been crowned Miss Intercontinental Africa at the prestigious Miss Intercontinental pageant held on Friday night at the Sunrise Remal Resort in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.

Amanda, who advanced to the competition’s top five, delivered a remarkable performance, earning her the regional title. She follows in the footsteps of Tendai Hunda, who won the same accolade in 2015. This victory highlights Amanda’s steady ascent in the world of pageantry, coming just a year after reaching the top eight in the Miss Universe Zimbabwe competition.

Expressing her excitement, Amanda said, “I am shocked and excited at the same time. I have brought this home.”

The overall Miss Intercontinental crown was awarded to Maria Cepero of Puerto Rico, marking the country’s fourth win in the pageant’s history. Cepero triumphed over more than 50 contestants from around the globe, continuing Puerto Rico’s legacy of excellence in the competition.

Amanda’s achievement is a proud moment for Zimbabwean pageantry, serving as an inspiration to aspiring models and showcasing the nation’s talent on the international stage.
