Five Injured in Shooting at Swedish Adult Education Center

A shooting at Campus Risbergska, an adult education center in Örebro, central Sweden, has left five individuals injured, including the suspected assailant. One victim is reported to be in serious condition.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. local time. Authorities responded swiftly, cordoning off the area and placing nearby schools on lockdown as a precaution. An air ambulance was dispatched to assist the injured.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson expressed his condolences, stating, “It is a very painful day for all of Sweden.”

The motive behind the attack remains under investigation. Police have urged the public to avoid the vicinity and to report any information that might assist in their inquiries.

Campus Risbergska primarily serves adults over 20 who are completing primary or secondary education. The shooting took place after many students had left the premises following a national exam.

Authorities have scheduled a press conference later today to provide further updates on the situation.
