Nigerian musician Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rude Boy, has publicly addressed the recent arraignment of his elder brother, Jude Okoye, on charges of alleged money laundering totaling ₦1.38 billion.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) brought Jude and his company, Northside Music Ltd, before Justice Alexander Owoeye on multiple counts, including the acquisition of a property valued at ₦850 million in Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, and the conversion of over $1 million through bureau de change operations. Jude Okoye has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

In response to the legal proceedings, Rude Boy took to his Instagram page, suggesting that the arraignment aligns with someone’s intentions, though he did not specify whom.

He encouraged his brother to remain resilient, stating, “Exactly what he wants. This too shall pass. Stay strong brother.”

This development adds to the ongoing public disputes within the Okoye family. In August 2024, Peter Okoye accused Jude of diverting millions in royalties from P-Square’s earnings into a private account, leading to further familial tensions.

As the legal process unfolds, the public remains attentive to the implications for the Okoye family and their professional collaborations.
