Davido’s Aide Dre Offers Cash Reward for Return of Phone Missing at Zlatan Ibile’s Wedding
An aide to Afrobeats star Davido, Damilare Aladegbola, popularly known as Dre, has appealed to the person who allegedly stole his phone at rapper Zlatan Ibile’s wedding to return the device in exchange for a cash reward.
Dre made the appeal on Monday, October 26, 2026, in a post on his Instagram page, pleading with whoever took the phone to return it.
“If na u carry my phone for Zlatan wedding, abeg return am, I go give you money please,” he wrote in Pidgin English.
The aide also expressed frustration over the incident, suggesting that phones left on tables at social gatherings could be taken under the pretext of clearing plates.
He warned that the experience would make him suspicious whenever waiters approached him at future events to ask whether he had finished eating so they could clear his plate.
Dre did not disclose the identity of the person suspected of taking his phone or provide further details about how the device went missing.
The incident reportedly occurred during the traditional wedding ceremony of Zlatan Ibile and his longtime partner, Davita Lamai, held in Lagos on Saturday, October 24.
The ceremony attracted several celebrities, friends and well-wishers, with Davido among the prominent guests and leading the groomsmen.
Dre’s public appeal has drawn attention to the loss of personal belongings at crowded social events, as he seeks to recover his phone by offering money for its return.
