In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Bengaluru’s Central Crime Branch (CCB) apprehended a 40-year-old Nigerian national, Roselime Oluchi Ikeoha, seizing 12 kilograms of MDMA valued at approximately ₹24 crore.

Ikeoha had been operating a grocery store in the TC Palya area for the past five years, which authorities suspect was a front for her drug distribution activities. Upon raiding her premises, officials discovered the substantial quantity of MDMA, marking one of the largest drug seizures in the city’s history.

Police Commissioner B. Dayananda highlighted the magnitude of the bust, stating, “This is one of the largest drug seizures in Bengaluru and Karnataka.” Investigations are ongoing to trace Ikeoha’s suppliers and potential connections, including links to a Mumbai-based individual. Additionally, authorities are probing the purpose behind the 70 SIM cards found in her possession, aiming to uncover the broader network involved in the trafficking operations.

This operation underscores the commitment of Bengaluru’s law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking and ensure the safety of its residents.
