Dokajin Gombe applauds Emir, Gov. Yahaya’s visionary leadership
The Dokajin Gombe, Anas Adamu Muhammad (Anas Lubel) has expressed gratitude to the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu-Abubakar III and Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, acknowledging their visionary leadership in the state as well as dedication to the development of the state.
Muhammad stated this in Gombe on Saturday after being conferred with the traditional title of “Dokajin Gombe” by the Emir of Gombe, at his GRA residence.
He stated that both leaders were doing their best to ensure an environment conducive for all Nigerians living in the state to thrive and have a brighter future.
He said that their visionary leadership was evident in the huge investment in youth-related programmes towards harnessing their potential for the development of the state.
He said that both leaders have become models in leadership working to make the state habitable not only for the citizens but Nigerians living in Gombe State.
Muhammad commended Gov. Yahaya for creating a platform for youths like him in the state to thrive and make meaningful contributions to the growth of the state.
Speaking on his conferment, the Dokajin Gombe said he was happy about the traditional title, noting that the title would inspire him to consolidate on what he was doing to impact the lives of young people in the state.
He described the traditional title as a call to additional service for the good of humanity and “having the Emir and my principal, the Governor of Gombe State as my model, I know I will not disappoint in living up to expectations as the Dokajin Gombe,” he said.
Speaking on behalf the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Aliyu Muhammad (Dawakin Gombe) stated that the conferment was a proof that the Gombe Emirate acknowledges Muhammad’s contributions in promoting peace, development as well as enhancing the welfare of the people.
The Emir urged the new Dokajin Gombe to sustain his good works and remain a good ambassador and representative of the Emirate.
The title “Dokajin Gombe” which was announced by Usman Muhammad (Shamakin Gombe) is a prestigious traditional title within the Emirate, symbolising leadership, responsibility, and service to the community.
