Sanwo-Olu Surprises Wife With Flowers, Shares Romantic Kiss at Women’s Conference
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has delighted his wife, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, with a bouquet of flowers and a kiss during the opening ceremony of the 26th Annual National Women’s Conference in Lagos.
The heartwarming moment occurred on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the event organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO).
Sanwo-Olu presented the flowers to his wife while addressing participants at the conference, drawing attention to the couple’s public display of affection.
“On behalf of COWLSO and everything that is decent, we want to appreciate you, we want to honour you,” the governor said.
The couple subsequently shared a kiss as Nigerian music star 2Baba’s hit song, African Queen, played in the background.
The conference, themed “Anchored in Purpose: Be the Blueprint,” brought together women and leaders to discuss leadership, empowerment and ways to improve the welfare of women and families.
During his address, Sanwo-Olu also praised his wife for her dedication to supporting women, children and families throughout his administration.
The event marked the 26th edition of the annual conference, which provides a platform for women to share experiences, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for personal and professional development.
