Chioma Goodhair Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Struggles to Convince Iyabo Ojo Over Daughter’s Tanzanian Lover
Reality TV star and entrepreneur, Chioma Goodhair, has opened up about the emotional journey that led to the union between actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, and Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.
In a heartfelt post shared online, Chioma reflected on how she played a pivotal role in supporting the blossoming love story between the celebrity couple, despite initial resistance from Iyabo Ojo. According to Chioma, the idea of Priscilla dating someone from Tanzania seemed far-fetched at first, especially with no prior ties to the country.
“It was one thing encouraging @its.priscy and @juma_jux on their love-at-first-sight quest, but it was a whole other thing convincing Queen Mother to allow a big-time Tanzanian artist to date her only daughter and prized possession,” Chioma wrote.
She recounted the effort it took to sway Iyabo’s opinion, including a nearly two-hour walk through London from Oxford Circus to Knightsbridge while pleading her case. “She would call every other hour saying ‘but Chioma this blog said this and that blog said that,’ and I’d reassure her, reminding her how unreliable gossip blogs can be,” Chioma explained.
Chioma revealed that Juma had already expressed intentions to marry Priscilla from day one, which helped her address all of Iyabo’s concerns. She recalled that by August 2024—soon after the couple officially began dating—they were already discussing wedding plans.
“What started as a playful conversation turned into the actual planning of #JP2025,” she added. “Iyabo insisted they must come to Nigeria to take her daughter traditionally, and we could also plan a celebration in Tanzania.”
Chioma also praised Iyabo Ojo’s prophetic nature and unwavering love as a mother. “This wedding has truly proved how loved you are, and I’m happy that nations are calling you blessed,” she said.
The glamorous wedding of Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux took place over the weekend, with A-list celebrities and dignitaries in attendance, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the beloved couple.
