At least 34 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday as Israeli forces intensified their bombardment of the Gaza Strip, targeting residential homes, tents sheltering displaced civilians, and even schools, according to medical sources.

In Tel al-Hawa, southwest of Gaza City, four people — including an infant — died when an Israeli airstrike leveled a house, Al-Shifa Hospital reported.

Another six people were killed when a tent housing displaced families in Gaza City’s al-Rimal neighborhood was hit by Israeli shelling, while a separate attack on a home in the Al-Tuffah area claimed two more lives, according to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital.

In central Gaza’s Al-Zawayda town, a tent was struck, killing one person. Multiple others were injured when Abu Helo School — which shelters displaced families in the Bureij refugee camp — was hit, sparking panic, Al-Awda Hospital said.

Airstrikes also struck the rooftop of a house in Deir al-Balah, leaving one dead and several injured, while drone fire killed two individuals traveling along the Khan Younis-Rafah road in the southern Gaza Strip, Nasser Hospital confirmed.

Further south in Khan Younis, four members of a single family were killed in the al-Mawasi area after their shelter was bombed. Another strike near Nasser Hospital killed three displaced Palestinians, and yet another in the vicinity of the Shuhada Mosque killed one person and injured others.

Later, nine Palestinians — including a child — were killed and dozens injured in an airstrike on a group of tents also in the al-Mawasi area. Another fatality was reported after gunfire on Al-Tina Street, west of Khan Younis.

The death toll from Israeli attacks on Gaza has now surpassed 57,500 since October 2023, with the majority of victims reported to be women and children. The ongoing war has devastated the enclave, crippling infrastructure, causing severe food shortages, and triggering a public health crisis.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on Monday as talks continue in Doha, Qatar, where Israeli officials and Hamas representatives are discussing a potential ceasefire and hostage-release deal.
