It was an emotional evening on Sunday, August 10, during the second live eviction show of Big Brother Naija Season 10, as two housemates — Danboskid and Ibifubara — were evicted. The night took a more somber turn with the announcement of the death of a production crew member, Ayotunde Elegbede.

The show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, made the announcement during the live broadcast, revealing that the family had confirmed Elegbede’s passing to the organisers.

Earlier in the show, drama and emotions ran high as Ebuka asked housemate Thelma about her opinion of fellow contestant Isabella. Thelma replied that Isabella was “not her brother’s keeper,” referencing a tense moment during the previous Head of House games.

Meanwhile, Big Brother praised the housemates for their performance in the week’s wager task and overall participation in activities. Rooboy was announced as the most influential housemate of the week, with his reward set to be revealed in real time.

Danboskid was the first housemate to be evicted. He received a heartfelt farewell from his closest ally, Zita, as fellow housemates cheered him on with a rousing “three gbosa for Danboskid.” On stage, he said the eviction felt surreal but accepted the outcome.

Clarifying a past comment about women, Danboskid told Ebuka he rarely approaches women unless something stands out — adding that Zita is “gorgeous.” He shared plans to pursue a career in Nollywood and continue his relationship with Zita outside the house.

The second eviction of the night saw 28-year-old Ibifubara exit the house. Reflecting on her time in the house, she admitted experiencing loneliness during the week due to shifting friendship dynamics. She also revealed she had feelings for fellow housemates Otega and Bright Morgan but chose not to act on them, saying “it wasn’t the right time.”

The therapist shared her post-show ambitions, including launching a podcast and expanding the creative direction of an existing hair brand.

Denari narrowly escaped eviction after falling into the bottom three, according to the voting chart displayed at the end of the show.
