Israel’s West Bank Operation May Extend, IDF Suggests
Israel’s military operation in the occupied West Bank could extend for several days, according to sources within the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), as reported by the Times of Israel on Wednesday.
The operation, which began overnight, is concentrated in the Tulkarem region, with additional activities in Jenin and a refugee camp near Tubas. Several wanted Palestinians have been arrested, according to the IDF.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that five people were killed in the refugee camp and two in Jenin, with three dying in a drone strike on their vehicle south of Jenin, as reported by the Palestinian Red Crescent. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz stated that the operation targets.
“Islamic-Iranian terrorist infrastructures” and accused Iran of funding and arming terrorists in the West Bank, similar to its actions in Gaza and Lebanon.
